I recently built my first pc. I have been planning this for a while, and here are the specs:

MSI Z97S Krait Edition ATX LGA 1150 Motherboard
Intel Core i7 4790k
Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler
Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste
Patriot Signature 16gb (2x8gb) DDR3 1600 RAM
SanDisk 240gb Plus SSD
Toshiba 2TB 7.2k RPM HDD
Asus GeForce GTX 960 4gb Graphics Card
Thermaltake ATX Midtower Case
Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Asus DVD Writer
Windows 10 64bit

After everything finally arrived, I built it. When I hit the power switch, everything turns on, all of the fans spin, and I have left it on for a fair amount of time, they continue to spin. I don't hear any beeps from the motherboard speaker, and when I plug the cable from the monitor into the computer, nothing is transferred to the monitor. I read the motherboard manual very carefully and watched the video that it linked to, and I am positive that the RAM is in the right spot. I pushed down very hard on the 24 pin cable running into the motherboard from the power supply, but to no avail. If anybody has any suggestions as to what I should be doing, it would be extremely appreciated.

Solution
Once you plugged in the graphics card, it took over the video output. So you should be connecting your monitor to the graphics card, not the motherboard, in order to get video output.

Assuming u plugged the graphics card in correctly, and are using that as ur video output (instead of using the motherboard display ports).
If your system isn't POSTing, then maybe it's the RAM or the processor(hopefully not).
Maybe your RAM is bad. Double check to make sure you're placing them in the correct place, and that they are supported. Sometimes the motherboard has labels physically written on it telling u which slots to place the RAM in first.
Try using one stick of RAM at a time. Perhaps one of them is faulty.

I'm using the motherboard as the video output for now, but I will check the RAM. I am positive that it is in the right slot and compatible, but I will try with one stick.
