Can I run The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword in Dolphin at a playable speed with my current specs?

Intel Core I7 720QM @ 1.6 GHz up to 2.8 GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 1 GB VRAM
8 GB RAM

I can play quite a few games with minimum low quality settings, however one thing weird I noticed is that newer games like Twilight Princess run better than older games like Super Smash Bros Melee, in which I get massive lag, where as other games run great.

The reason I ask is because I will have to get the Dolphin Bar or something similar in order to play it, and I don't want to spend the money if my PC can't handle it in the first place.

Is there any software at all that would let me emulate Wii Motion Plus just enough to let me get into the game for a small amount of time to see how it performs?

Please reply soon, thank you.

If you look at PassMark single thread performance tests(see here https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html ),they are pretty accurate in terms of performance of the Dolphin emulator, since the emulator uses single threads only, and not multiple(if you exclude Audio LLE on a separate thread, ofc).Your laptop seems to be a bit...old.People seem to assume that Twilight Princess and Wind Waker are demanding, but Twilight Princess with the HFSH(Hyrule Field Speed Hack)runs at a constant 30 frames per second.Unlike those 2 games,Skyward Sword is a very demanding game. Not even your i7 will handle that even with all the extra "threading".

If you looked at it,your CPU is at bottom bottom of the bottoms.Sorry to inform you of that. You could grab an ISO off a site and test it yourself, but don't expect consistent framerates.

Hope I helped.

About that Motion Plus emulation, development has stopped for an unknown reason.Trust me,I have been looking forever for an updated version. The download of the older version is no longer available.
Sorry.

Spend 15$ and get a Dolphin Mayflash Bar.

I also seem to get a few slowdowns in Melee. In 5.0,the bug will probably be addressed and fixed.
P.S:I am not a dev of dolphin if you wanted to know.Sorry.
