GPU Usage spiking up and down

While in game my GPU usage keeps spiking up and down and I am wondering if this is normal. It also slightly spikes when I am doing light work such as browsing the internet.

AMD FX 8320E 3.2ghz
AMD R9 380 4GB
16GB 1866mhz DDR3 RAM

The only one that seems to be an issue would be during gaming. That is a bit erratic. Is it doing it with different games or just one particular game? Also, are you noticing any frame drops or anything?

It's probably just a different scenes since in games if there are a heavy scenes then the gpu will have a 100% load. And also i want to tell that the games does not fully utilize the cpu, that could also be the problem.

Those spikes were way to constant to be normal. Sure, a GPU usage drop every now and then is normal, but every second or so? Doubt it.

I have tested 3 games and the GPU usage has done this with all of them. I have not experienced any frame drops but the FPS i should be getting on the games i have been playing haven't matched the benchmarks from other people with the same spces.

i had the same issue its a hardware monitoring bug just enable unified gpu monitoring in msi afterburner and you will get a more acurate reading
