Hi all! I've got a Dell Latitude e6420 with Intel i5 2.5 gHz, witch has a dedicated N-vidia NVS4200m vga. The problem is that the nvidia control panel says it has only 512mb. The laptop was sold and advartised to me with 1gb vga. I google my way deep, and most of the sites that has something about this vga says that up to 1gb. Those that means that someting is lowering my vga memory or what?

"Up to 1gb" does not mean 1gb, just that there is an option. Check things with GPU-Z and also contact Dell or look on their support site and see what your system has or should have. Did you get this new from Dell or used and the seller just said it was a 1 gb card?

I bought it used, and the seller said that it has 1gb vga. The thing is that the place where i bought it sells used laptops but they do not test it. They google around a bit and then the write stuff on the paper near the price. It had some sort of linux on is so i was unable to check right there the vga, because that os used the intel 3000 integrated vga...

About what I though, so there is your answer, they did not check the specs fully. Dell's web site should give you the details about your system.
