Best pci-e wifi adapter for ~$50? Speed differences?

So I just got my 60mbs charter internet set up, but it couldn't go in the room I wanted it to.

I'm a gamer and want a good fast, stable connection.
They gave me a dual band router with 2g and 5g on it, obviously my pc will be using the 5g.

So my question is, what's a PCI-E wifi card to get for around the $50 or under Mark?
I'm willing to spend a little more if the performance difference is worth it.
I have an MSI z97-g45 gaming motherboard.

I see some of these wifi cards say 600mbs, while some more expensive ones say 1.2gbs. What do these mean? Is it a significant difference that would be of use for me?
I want great latency in games and stable connection.
My room isn't too far from the router.. But I still want a good strong card for it either way

Nothing beats a wired connection. For that price range most of it is going to be dual-band wireless N adapters. I found one or two AC one's but the drivers/firmware don't see the 5GHz spectrum for a good amount of time. Save some money up and invest more into it. Regardless of what it says on the box, you'll lose some throughput via interferences. Invest in a long wired connection if you want the best stability :)

What's wrong with "dual band wireless N adapters"?
I planned to use wired but the cable cord in my game room had no signal for charter to use. I live in an apartment and don't think my landlord will let me drill holes and I don't wanna tac up a wire all around the apartment :/
There's only one small room between the router and PC but idk what to do.
