I want to crossfire my ASUS 7970 with a Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280x. I've done my research and I know that the 7970 and R9 280x crossfire well together and nowadays it is hard to get my hands on another 7970. The problem is that if I place the 7970 into the second slot, it might interfere with some of the cable for the case functions, power button, reset button, etc. One idea I thought of was doing a reverse crossfire, where the 7970 is in the first slot and the 280x is in the second slot. I've been researching and I haven't found a source that has tried this. Does anyone here know if this idea would work?
