I was wondering how much having a 5350, instead of, say, a Pentium G3258 (Non-OC) would affect gaming performance with an R7 370?

Solution
what nubUser is saying is that it would be an upgrade from the Pentium G3258 , but it wouldnt be good if you are going to be getting into building a pc, because its not the best.

also be careful because if you have a Pentium G3258 now and you want to upgrade to a AMD 5350 your motherboard wont be compatible so you may need to buy a new one.

Thank you for your plain reply, but I am not a complete idiot when it comes to computers. I was just wondering why the 5350 gets so much hate. I made a parts list for $295 with an R7 370, and I got a fair amount of negative replies about the CPU. I posted this asking exactly why, because people were saying that the G3258 was far better, and I was under the impression that I had made a mistake when judging the cost to performance of the 5350, But thank you for helping me settle my confusion!
