okay. I have been getting this issue for awhile. I have 8g of Ram, and Half of it is "Hardware Reserved" I have done almost everything i know under the sun, Maximum Memory isn't checked, my Ram is compatible, Im not overclocking it, I pretty much gave up on it until I stumbled upon this. In speccy 64 my ram is being labeled as "8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 800MHz" even though I have two sticks. I have them in slots 1 and 3. Does this mean that one of mine isn't regestering? but it does say I have 8gs of Ram its just holding 4 of it. Im really confused, first computer ive built solo and im not sure what its going on with the ram.

Memory

Please help if you can.

According to the manual. the sticks should be installed in DIMM2 and DIMM4. There is also an updated BIOS which "Fixed memory size can not be identified properly" (version 2.7). Switch the sticks, and if that does not help, update the BIOS.

In your private message you asked: "I was reading what they suggest for my motherboard update. It says to run it from a USP Pen Drive only. Does that mean that I need to run the .exe from a USB Thumb Drive only and not from the HD?"

I'm not familiar with that flashing method. I read the same instructions you did, and I understood it to mean that you MUST run it from the flash drive, and leave the flash drive inserted until the flash is complete (multiple restarts). It also recommends not flashing any version after 1.11 unless you are using Windows 8, why I don't know.

I would recommend switching the sticks. That shouldn't be the issue, but it could be. You never specified your operating system.. If you have Windows 8 or above, I would definitely recommend upgrading your BIOS to 2.7. If you are using windows 7, then upgrade to 1.11.

Did both today and still the same. Memory is reading as SIngle Channel and half of my RAM is being hardware reserved. I really do not know what to do anymore.
