Solution
You connect the three-pin header to the left three pins of the header. There's a groove, so it should only go in one way. There is no need for an adapter- it's perfectly okay to keep that one pin open.
There is no chassis fan cable coming from your power supply.
What is there is called a Berg connector:

You shouldn't connect that to the motherboard; that's for powering the floppy drive(They're obsolete, but old powersupply designs include the Berg connector anyways).

Also, Asus don't have a hb1m-a motherboard. What you have is probably the H81M-A:

Please edit the first post.

And always connect the chassis fan to the CHA_FAN header. You have nothing to worry as long as the fan spins up. Your system won't demand much from it anyway.

The system will not power up if the motherboard has a chassis fan connector.
And the bios has the chassis fan settings enabled for monitoring.
The boot process will halt, due to an error detected.

Because the bios cannot detect the fan is spinning it is why it does not boot.
Most bios`es of motherboards monitor the fan rotation of fans connected to the motherboard fan headers.

They have an alarm trigger set, that if the rotation of the fan dips bellow a set rpm say 600rpm it considers the fan to be faulty or broken and stops the motherboard from posting producing an error.

By pressing F1 during power up and boot of the system. This can be skipped.
As the default bios settings will be to stop the posting of the system on any errors detected.
Ie: Missing or none spinning fan, or one spinning at to low of an rpm speed. If monitoring of fans is enabled in the bios settings.

so the pc is satrting wvwn with the fan not on it wich is good now i have a H81M-A ASUS motherboard and a segotep chariot fighter c chase can someone tell me whoch one is the cha fan on motherboard and what to put wher and with pictures if you can cause i am not that techincal

Just connect the fan in your case on that connector, like before. It just has to spin, nothing else. If it never spun to begin with, you might need to get a new fan.
