Hi guys.
I pulled out an old laptop I haven't used for years - it's a Toshiba V25 with Windows XP installed.
I want to clean install WXP on it and use it as a spare machine for travel or emergencies.
The optical drive won't open (any ideas why?) so I copied the contents of the Windows XP CD onto a USB storage external HDD. My plan was to run the clean install from that drive (if that possible?).
The problem I'm getting atm is when I restart the laptop and hit F12 for the bios menu I get the following error msg -
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent.
Any ideas why this might be happening and what I can to solve or work around this problem.
Thanks, regards.
