Hello!

I bought a computer a couple of months back.
The problem is i have such fps drops when im playing games.
Sometimes it works perfectly fine but now that i installed and tried Blade & Soul i cant take it anymore.
Most of the time im between 10-30FPS on medium settings, however if i have high or low doesent change anything. In rare occasions the fps skyrockets and i get about 140-200 but in no time im back to low fps again.

The following are my specs:
EVGA GTX 980 Super Clocked.
Intel Skylake i5-6600
32GB of RAM DDR4
EVGA 850W, 80+ Gold
MSI Gaming M3 motherboard
Samsung 850 EVO SSD

Temperature while gaming:
CPU: 40c
GPU: 50c

I'd be happy for any answers. Thanks!

Its already on "Prefer maximum performance"

Id like to ad that my last computer is an Asus Laptop G750 JX, and it has more stable FPS than my new one :D

I went trought the Nvidia Control Panel and changed as much as possible to High Performance

Check your background processes... Even a beastly computer will slow down from clunky Windows and 3rd party services using all your resources. My computer is roughly half of what you're running and it is finely tuned- no lag, no hiccups.

1. Hit Ctrl + R and type msconfig and click OK
2. In BOTH the Startup and Services tabs, uncheck as many items as you safely can. Do your research before disabling something you are not sure about, as you can cause system instability. Anything by Microsoft or Intel, do not uncheck. But things like Java Update, iTunes Helper, and as many junk items you can see, disable them. A program like iTunes, for example, will open just fine when you want it to. But there is no goddamn reason for them to run so much junk in the background while you are trying to work or game.

The reason a computer is fast the first day you use it and then slow for the rest of your life is because of things like this. Computers won't make decisions on their own, and every software developer wants their software to be the front page of your PC. Install 20+ programs and your computer has some major competition to juggle around. When you keep your operating system clean and fine-tuned, your hardware will play games and multitask like a beast.

Okay, so ive stopped most of the services. Nothing related to Microsoft or Intel, mostly my drivers and Virus protection left running. This got me up to about 25-40 FPS.

Im using AVG as antivirus and i have tried pausing it meanwhile i play. however this does not affect my FPS ratio.

Also i have checked all my drivers. The BIOS, sound, graphic etc is all up to date...

Yeah, i have. And i haven't seen anything strange except for this one time where the Power Consumption of the GPU went to 96%.

Except for that, nothing suspicious.

Yes, my power options are set to "High Performance"

Thanks for reply!! :)
