Is a 550w PSU enough for this?

looking for a new PSU.
did a bunch of research, but im getting lost in the numbers. the PSU calculators all tell me something different, so i thought id ask here.
specs:
Phenom II x4 965 BE (140w)
Asus M5A78LM/USB3
Radeon HD 7950

if 550w is enough, could i upgrade to a radeon r9 290?
or should i just get the XFX 650 PRO im looking at?

550w may be enough power but it depends on what psu you have. If you have a crappy psu I wouldn't push it that far. I suggest getting the XFX psu you suggested as it will be a very good unit.

Yeh bro just make sure its a good quality psu im running a i5 and a 380 fine on my evga 550 watt 80+gold psu but im not saying it has to b gold make it bronze or better ok
