Hi guys. so what is happening is that i have two graphic cards that are running sli. This woudn't usually be a problem because while i have both cards in the bottom card covers the 2nd pcie x1 slot. I am still able to use the 1st pcie x1 slot. Here is where the problem is.... i live in an older house and its not wired for cat, so i use a wireless adapter that i currently have plugged into the 1st pcie slot. I have then considered putting the audio card on the bottom pcie x16 and have also tried. For some reason when i go to the control panel for the audio card it says its not connected to the computer. Anybody have any ideas?????? I just want nice sound :(

motherboard: Asrock X99X Killer

Audio: Creative sound blaster ZxR

Solution
To access the BIOS, press the F2 key repeatedly as soon as you power up; don't wait until you see the prompt because the system is fast and you don't have time to press it before the next step. Why not test the audio card in another system? If it's detected, then contact ASRock support because the slot should be available when an M.2 drive is not used (according to the specs with a 28 lanes CPU).

there are 3 pcie x16 slots and 2 pcie x1 slots i have sli running on the 1st and 2nd x16 slots but because of that the gpu in the 2nd pcie x16 slot blocks the 2nd pcie x1 slot.... i do not have a m.2 ssd. also thx for the idea of switching the wirless from the 1st pcie x1 to the x16 with the audio. Ill try it when i get back to my computer.

well i have given up trying... I even gave up trying to use the audio card and just go with the intergrated sound but now i cant even open up the bios. At 1st the POST wasn't even showing and then when it did show i pushed f2 as directed by the manual and the computer went to the windows logo and sat there for 20 mins and didnt go into bios or go to regular windows screen. I then said screw it i dont know what is happening so i put all the cards back where i had them yesterday before i started moving stuff and now the audio card is still saying that it is not connected to the system. I then restart and try to get into bios. The Post now shows up but even when i am pushing f2 or del the Post screen seems to switch to the windows logo and then this weird blue shimmer that is just like the windows color logo appears on the top of the screen and then it just opens up into the regular windows lock screen and lets me log in.

I have no idea if something is broken but all i know is that i was able to get into post 2 days ago before i opened the computer up and the audio card was working just fine at that time. I honestly don't know what has happened to the computer. All i have done was move the cards into different pcie slots and then try to get into bios. I don't know why this is happening. Have any clue??

This is a very expensive computer. A bit too expensive and i would like to find what is not working so i can send it in or RMA it. I have a feeling that it might be the mobo and or the audio card i cant really tell.
