I have been asked to find a computer for an elderly women in the community. Being a desktop system builder, I do not have much knowledge of laptop parts.
She will probably only be using it for internet browsing. At first I was thinking just a quick and easy way would be to get a chromebook and call it a day, but she is familiar with the windows interface.
Any windows OS seems to be fine. I will upgrade it to windows 10, take whatever crapware is on it off, and install classic shell.
I think a good option might be to focus on the hard drive and less on the central components since no gaming or hard tasks would be performed on it. Maybe an SSHD?
