Battlefield 3 lag?

Have been trying to play battlefield 3 on my computer and it locks the fps at 30 even though vsync is disabled and adjusting the quality settings does not make a difference. I have a R9 390 and am playing on 1080p so I should be getting much better fps. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience and if there is a way to fix it?

open the amd control panel and reset it back to default for the 3d performance settings. set tessellation level to x4 rather than amd optomized.
make sure vsync is set it to application controled.
make sure you run origin with elevated privs.
right click on the games icon in origin check the games integrity.
start the game up and when the browser opens select the single player option.
1s loaded change the games settings to what you want. save them quick back to the browser and load up the multi player.
the new settings should be applied automatically.

if there not then check the config ini files arnt marked as read only...

Ok it worked. Thank you! Getting over 100 fps on ultra now.
