So im getting really frustrated. I have Comcast Blast service, which gives me 90mbps, and that is the speed I get when I am using Ethernet straight to my router or modem. I have a Netgear modem, as well as a netgear router which is the WNDR3400v2. When I am on wifi, I cant get above about 25 mbps, but plugged in, I get almost 90. I know wifi I probably wont ever get 90, but 25 is ridiculous to only be getting that.
Things I have tried.
Turned off the 5G radio on the router
Unchecked WMM
Tried changing the MTU to 1400 and 1450, both of which slowed the speed even more.
Have tried using no security, but am currently on WPA. no difference for either
Changed channels.
Updated the firmware, and did a hard reset after doing so.
Im probably going to buy another router, but before I did, I wanted to see if anyone had any magic up their sleeve. Im the type, I hate not being able to fix something, and this situation has really pissed me off lol!
So does anyone know anything else that I need to try to do to fix this stupid thing?
