I'm trying to build a better computer to record and edit gaming footage on, my current one isn't cutting it. But I'm not exactly sure what specs I need. I'm OK with going for the minimum on the graphics cards and RAM if that is needed to keep the price lowish. Anyone have any suggestions?

Solution
Chose that PSU in case you want Crossfire. If not, a 650W GS or G2 unit will do.

1) A low level laptop, I'm surprised it still works after all the work I've made it do.
2) It really depends, I'm shooting for around a thousand USD. I'm OK with getting the minimum then upgrading later.
3) Never done so before and unless I need to in order to get playable performance I see no reason why I would.
4) Right now I record windowed at 1280x720, full-screened is 1400x900, but I would like to be able to run games on a 1440p monitor while recording at 1920x1080. But I'm fine with just going for a 1080 monitor.
