Hard Drvie better than SSD? What?

The other day, I was looking at the specs of the SSD I'm going to get. You may know it, it's a mushkin reactor, great price on newegg. So anyway I looked at R/W speeds, they were normal, about 460 MB/s write, and 560 MB/s read. I compared this to my hard drive, a 7200 RPM Toshiba 5 TB. The odd thing is, it has a read/write speed of 750 megabytes per second, yes, megabytes, not megabits, I checked it a million times to make sure I wasn't going blind. Now I'm hearing all these reviews about how SSDs are better. Is this BS, or is there something that makes SSDs faster?

Sorry, but no. It doesn't work like that.
BestBuy saying :
"Maximum Data Transfer Rate
750 megabytes per second"

...simply means that is the theoretical speed of a SATA III interface. Not what that drive can actually provide.

Bestbuy was telling me this, I do believe they wouldn't post false information, Newegg on the other hand, didn't tell me the read/write speed
