why?

1. its a ton of work.
2. you would need to contact hp to make sure the motherboard on your laptop even supports a higher processor.
3. its is strongly recommended you don't do this. laptops are designed to dissipate heat for the processor they are designed for. upgrading may cause heat issues.
4. you will void any warranty if you have any.
5. no place will repair your machine after something like this if you make a mistake.
6. you probably won't get the performance boost you are looking for from the processor swap. this machine has low ram and a standard hdd rather than ssd. you are probably better off switching to an ssd. that is a whole nother process if you don't know what you are doing.

7. if you have poor performance it may be due to poor regular maintenance or malware/viruses. a new processor won't fix that.

overall if you don't know what you are doing, expect that you may not get much of an improvement. You may be totally out of an otherwise fine laptop if something goes wrong. so before you start, i hope you have the budget for processor you won't be able to return and a new laptop.
