Hi all, I made a parts list of what I want to be in my first computer build, but being part of the group that knows nothing about computers I need advice :) I did a little research but just want to be sure before I shell out the cash.

Here is the parts list http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Kla38/saved/68cwrH

I don't play many games on pc but just recently got interested in ARK Survival Evolved and have been wanting a desktop for awhile. My question is will this run ARK at decent frames with high settings? I consider decent 30 or up after coming from consoles lol.
I won't be using the computer for much else besides gaming and I don't stream or anything like that. My budget is around 1500$ but I could squeeze out some more if I thought it a necessity.

Thanks for any help guys!

yeah i5 is definitely enough for gaming, and ARK is GPU intensive game so you will have to get the same FPS like in that video, even tho he has i7, and I think everything in your setup is good.

So mine should run like this because of the video card correct? Also is there anything you would suggest to optimize the parts I picked even more, from what I heard the i7 isn't much different than the i5 but is better for streaming and such that's why I went with the i5. Any other little tips or something like that? Thanks for the reply BTW :)

I would do a little downgrade if you're not interested in OC'ing and you target game is ARK.

The EVO 212 is useless, i would take it off from the list. RAM, mobo, HDD, PSU seems fine.

About GPU, well, i'm assuming you're playing at 1080p , well, 980Ti is a overkill, but, yes, you will be able to play ANY game with 60+fps.

I would wait a little until Pascal/Polaris (Nvidia/AMD) new GPU arrives.
