memory chip repair

i have a sandisk Cruser Facet 8gb, i accidentally bent it. i opened it up and took the chip out (a silicon chip i think) and there is a crack through it. is there any way at all i can recover the data off it because there is 2 years worth of coursework on it and i didn't make a backup :(. if there is any companies in the uk that can fix it could you also please tell me . thanks

It is dead.
Not to be snarky, but this is precisely what backups are for.

And don't entrust your life work to an easily damaged or lost flash drive. Ever.
