Hello, i had some problems with my system. Sometimes, at the power on, three long beeps sound from the motherboard speaker, and the system is unable to boot. Some other times, I am facing blue screens, which are caused due to RAM malfunction. So I’ve done some memtest to ensure that my RAM's was fine. The RAM was fine. After some tests I realized that the problem is caused when the RAM uses dual channel mode. With one dimm installed at the time there was no problem, but with both dimms installed I was facing blue screens and startup errors. Also, I tried to put the DIMM's side by side, in other words at the A1,A2 slot's. So the memories was using single channel mode. During the tests no error appeared. So I concluded that the problem appears when the dimms are on dual channel mode. Also I have tried another pair of dimms without success. So I decided to RMA the whole system to the shop, from which I bought the parts. After a couple days the called me back and they told me that my CPU is incompatible with my Motherboard, because it is over 95W. They tried an 95W CPU and it worked fine. I explained them that the CPU is fully compatible as this Motherboard supports up to 220W CPU's and also my CPU is in the CPU support list. They agree to that fact, but they say that, this is what Asrock says, we don't agree to that fact. They told me that this motherboard is compatible with only 95W CPU and the prompted me to buy a new one. I told them, that I want to replace the motherboard because it is faulty, but the Sayed that they can’t do to do that, because it’s not faulty. It is incompatible. It would be faulty if it doesn’t even worked properly with 95W CPU's. They don't want to replace my faulty motherboard and I don’t know why. I didn't knew what else to do so I decided to post this thread. The name of the company is "E-SHOP S.A", and it is one of the larger online shops in Greece. Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English

Solution
I assume you filled out a RMA form online and submitted it. Just give them a day or two to respond. Their response time can vary.

Yeah i know that, but this guys say that they have done some test's to this model of motherboard and they concluded to the fact that this model can't cooperate properly with CPU's over 95W.

The shop is wrong about the compatibility issue. The problem is either your CPU (bent/missing pins) or the motherboard. You indicated that they swapped in another CPU and it was fine.

They need to replace either the CPU and/or the motherboard. BTW, I am sure Asrock knows more about CPU compatibility with their products than the shop does.

I think that my CPU is fine. Furthermore, they told me that the have tried with another one 8320 but the problem was not solved. They persist to the fact that the mobo cant handle CPU's over 95W, whatever the manufacturer says. The told me that they had the some problem with an another client in the past, so they believe that this a general problem. What else i can do? I tried to convince them that my mobo is faulty with no result. The believe that it is fine! They make me go crazy
