I have a amd a8 6500 with a gtx 750 ti and all generic hp parts. I'm planning on building a whole new build with an i5 6600k, gtx 750 ti, msi b150 gaming lga 1151 and vengeance ram. I see other people with an i5 4690k and gtx 750 ti on youtube get way better fps then me with the same gpu.

Games are going to get more demanding, so upgrading would be good. I'd suggest a different combination. No point getting a 6600K and a B150, you won't be able to overclock to any great extent. If you want to save money, consider a Z170 and an i5 6600 and plan to use BCLK to get more speed.

Well I play a variety of games some I get fine fps in like black ops 3 I get 30 fps then I play gmod and get like 20 and I know that's a mostly CPU game and dying light too and I get like 22 fps in that game. I also play arma, rust, dayz and h1z1. I only want 30 fps in games on decent settings
