Laptop. Installed win7 everything works but not usb mouse does not every driver installs but usb controller does not.

Check your bios if under peripheral configuration or similar if usb legacy and backward compatibility is enabled, when my was enabled my I usually get a "keyboard not found" error, this can play havoc when you need to install windows, safe boot, do a windows repair from disc etc. Without the keyboard i cannot get into bios, so you see the issue.

If this works the mouse should be recognized and windows then should install the driver.
