If I could give you a suggestion for a powerful gaming rig that can push out 120-144fps in quite a few games at 1080p, try this baby. These parts are all very high quality, it's based off of your original build, but it's much more powerful and can overclock just fine. If you're just gaming, an i5 is all you need, and i7 gives you no benefits as of now. A gtx 980ti can max out any game out there and easily hit 60fps at 1080p, but most games will go far beyond 60fps. It's a great build, so I'd highly suggest it.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($256.89 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: Cooler...
Supernova NEX 650 is a poor quality power supply and should not be purchased. Buy an EVGA G2, B2, GS, or GQ instead. Realistically, a GTX 970 already can't play everything on max settings. And an I7 is not worth it over the I5 for gaming. As well as the super expensive cooler and motherboard - tone those down and buy a stronger graphics card.

You're wasting your money. Windows professional is for professionals, not gamers, and Windows 7 won't even have DX12 support. Buy Windows 10 Home.

I agree with turkey3_scratch, if you want a premium quality gaming experience, you're going to want windows 10. It sucks that DX12 won't be supported on earlier versions of windows, but if it makes you feel any better windows 10 feels a lot like a windows 7 in a lot of ways. It's still distinctly different, but it's not bad. If you've got the cash you really should just get windows 10.
