Hey, I have Trion100 120GB as OS drive, I have Battlefield 3 on it, because I can fit in in there. I want to upgrade to 1TB though, and I see that SSHDs are only circa $20 more expensive than HDDs. 99.9% of my PC usage is gaming and internet browsing (while gaming), would I benefit in loading times with SSHD? I don't want to blow out $300 for 1TB SSD.

Thanks!

Well yes, you would see some improvement using a hybrid drive, but possibly not that much.
Allow me to explain. When stuff on your hybrid drive gets used a lot (ie system files, games, etc) it puts that file into the cache or the flash storage part of the drive. Only some files will be kept there and there is no way to put files in there manually, so it wont guarantee better loading times. But for some files, yes. It will load faster. Maybe just go for a higher capacity SSD, like 250GB or 400GB.

I see.
Guess I'll just save the $20 towards more RAM or something. Thanks!

the other issue that has not been brought up is if your main drive is five years old is your mb the same age. sata ssd and sata speeds were just starting on the the z77 chipset. some of the older x68 and x58 mb used 3 party sata chipset to get 6g speeds. on amd side the old 900 chipset is the only chipset i know that does 6g speed. on my pc i have windows 10 on ssd as the boot drive and then my games and movies on my reg hard drive. with ssd there a set number of writes to the ssd memory chips so your better off using a stock hard drive for your downloads and personal files.
