http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b1999/gigabyte-gtx-770-windforce-3x-oc.html this is the GFX card I'm running.

I've had this card for around a year with no issues, I only started to experience any problems around a week ago. At first, my CPU was overheating, I took the heat sync off, cleaned the dried old thermal compound and applied new. Everything seemed to be fine, until I tried playing CS:GO, about 3 minutes into it, my display completely shuts off, whilst my computer still keeps going, as well as my GFX fans. My system has not changed remotely other than me applying new thermal paste. I run Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, build 7601), I have a corsair cx600m 600w PSU with an AMD FX 8350. My motherboard is an ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0. I have 8gb of RAM installed.

Essentially, my PC runs fine, I can use most basic programs and browse the internet all day, however whenever I launch any game, several minutes after, my GFX seems to be shutting down, giving my monitor no signal, however my PC remains on.

I was on the line of thinking that my GFX was overheating, after applying new thermal paste I expected my problem to stop. After it became apparent that the issue was still at hand, I then went to the GeForce Experience program and checked for updates to drivers, downloaded them and installed them. The issue still persists.

I have also tried alternate PCI-e slots, still the same problem.

This is my GPU-Z log http://pastebin.com/nNuiGk99, I started logging 2 minutes before launching CS:GO. The log ends where I turn off my PC, as I have a black screen and it appears my GFX has shut down.

Any advice will be well appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's possible but I don't think so, I did pea sized balls on both the CPU and GFX, then put the heat sync's back on. Could this cause these problems? The PSU and GFX show no signs of overheating and are operating at normal temps.
