Hi guys, I hope you can assist me.

Before I contact msi, I would like to know is this the normal behavior of a bios on a pc. If i put my tv on standby i.e where the led is showing that my tv is ready to be turned on. I then turn my pc on while tapping "del" to access the bios, all works as it should. Even when the TV is on and I use my pc and tap "del" at bootup and access the bios all is well and working fine.

But if the TV is fully plugged of and has no power to it, and I then turn my pc on and tap "del" to enter the bios while the TV is still off without any power, and then afterwards turn my tv on by powering it on, the tv shows no bios screen, just a black screen with a message from my tv stating no signal output. To get out of the blank screen and the tv message, I then reset my pc while the tv is on and it boots as normal.

Overall, normal function of the pc is perfect. Even if the tv is off without any power and I don't access the bios. When i turn on the pc while the tv is off, and soon afterwards turn the tv on, my tv shows the login screen of my pc. So clearly the pc can detect the image even if the tv is powered off, its only the issue with the bios if the tv is powered of.

I was under the impression even if the tv is fully off and has no power to it and I turn my pc on to access the bios, as soon as i power my tv the bios screen should appear. But this isn't the case, shouldn't the bios appear regardless if the tv is on, off or standby? Because as soon as I am turning my tv on from the mains that should tell me pc that the tv is on.

I have my pc connected via a HDMI cable on a gtx 980 msi, Mobo msi gaming 5.

Thank you, If you require more info, please feel free to ask.

Looking forward to your answers

Thanks friend.

My tv is full 1080p That resolution is 1080p, So do you think there is a issue somewhere?

If thats the set resolution, then how do i set that within the bios? Or any setting for that matter within the pc?
