Internet went from 90mbps to 15mbps when multiple people are on the wifi. Is there any way to fix this?

Hey guys, I recently had some family move in with me and they've connected about 6 devices to our wifi. I'm hardlined and my internet speed has slowed down by about 70mbps. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm on the basic modem and router given by our ISP. Thanks a ton.

Sounds like you do not have enough bandwidth. only real way to fix that generally is to pay more. a more beefy router could help some too. I envy that you had 90mbs where I am at 50 is pretty fast. I personally rarely break 50.

Make them turn their devices off.
(obviously, that will not work)

new wifi password? oops I lost it... hate it when that happens? as they are family, perhaps the better route is to simply tell them that there is low band width and that higher bandwidth is going to cost $X per month cough cough chip in to use wifi cough cough...

But this is not a family forum, so do not quote me on that.
