Arma 3 has low GPU usage but every other game has great GPU usage

All of my games get about 85-99% GPU usage except for Arma 3, and DayZ standalone.
Arma 3 gets a maximum of 30% GPU usage, while Dayz on the other hand gets about a max of 10% usage from the GPU.... I know there is no bottleneck because all of my other games run fine.
I went into Nvidia Conrol Panel and put "prefer maximum performance" or whatever it is.

What am I doing wrong

Spec:
CPU: i5 4690k
GPU: GTX 970 SSC
Mobo: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
8 GB of RAM
Power Supply: EVGA 220-GS-0850-V1 80 PLUS GOLD 850 W

It's not your fault, it's the game fault. The engine used is inefficient. If the game is coded better you would see better performance.

FYI: Dayz uses the Arma 3 engine, because both titles were developed by Behemia.

Yes, but my friends specs are worse and he runs the game a million times better. I also noticed that my GPU usage on CSGO is lower than usual too

Check your CPU and GPU usage and temps again.

What I'm most interested to know is what the CPU temps and usage are while playing the game. I'm wondering if your CPU is throttling. Did you install the CPU cooler with thermal compound?
