I bought recently a Samsung laser printer M2625D and connected it through USB cable.
It works (from my 64bit Win 7 system).

Now I want to check the current firmware version.

How can I achieve this?

if possible with built-in Win 7 tools or 3rd party tools.
I want to avoid to install some more bloated Samsung "easy" service software.

Thank you
Peter

Sorry, to access the SyncThru™ Web Service I need the IP address of the printer.
But my printer is not part of the local network. It is only locally connected by USB cable and hence has no own IP.

So this access method is not working.

Do you have another suggestion?

Ah, well in that case since it's not connected to a router or modem but only connected by USB to a computer, you cannot access the configuration utility anyway to check/update the firmware. That's the only way to do it, connect it to a network.
Doesn't mention any other way to do it on the Samsung support site.

Network it first or you're stuck.
