Hi guys,
I have an issue with my notebook.

Every time I wake it up from sleep it seems like its been raped. It has fragmentation in parts of windows files, windows explorer is ultra slow (the loading bar never comes to the end), and some software (like Razer comms) dont work, so I have to restart the program, even some DLL's stop working for a while (like half a hour), for example I need to re-plug the ethernet to make it work and I cant change and/or enable default sound output.

So my guess was its caused by HDD so I defragment it every time and then I need to restart the notebook. This way its actualy working fine (it seems to solve the problem), but I dont really have time and power to do this every morning I come to my notebook.
I need to work on it and not working on the notebook to make it work properlly. So please if someone has the same issue and has a solution for it write a comment down below.
Thanks a lot!

Solution
Hi

This is probably a driver problem
something not working when coming out of sleep
Does disconnecting the USB extenal HDD have any effect ?

It does not look as if you have RAID (as you have different sized disks
but are using that setting instead of AHCI

What exact model of laptop?
and what operating system did it come with?
Going from 7 to 8 may have resulted in a bad or incompatible device driver

Are you using the correct power management software ?
(as supplied by the notebook manufacturer and for Win 8.1)

Can you use Hybernate instead of sleep mode?

Hi mike,
I'll try to disconnect the HHD. I got Envy 17-j040ec and it came with W8 and I upgraded it to W8.1 and I dont know what you mean by power management software, I didnt downloaded anything for power management so I think I use what I should use...
