Upgrading Processor from Core 2 Duo E8400 to I5 2400

Yo im running An E8400 3.0Ghz and 8GB Ddr2 800Mhz Ram and an ASUS HD 6770.

Im running Battlefield 4 at 1080p on Low preset, im getting playable fps, 30 on avg when my nets running good(got really * net)

Im upgrading to an I5 2400, GA-H77-DS3H mobo, and Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600Mhz single stick ram.

With the new upgrade how much more fps will i get on bf4?
Thanks (Im playing BF4 on a core 2 duo, believe it)

Look at GPU utilization while playing. It might be in the 70-80% range. In that case, you could expect a 25-40% improvement with the i5.

That's how it was with my HD5770 and E8400. I'm still using the same HD5770 in my i5-3470. Yes, that GPU is ancient. But it still runs the game I care to play well enough that I am still in no hurry to upgrade yet.

bruh, when I went from a Q9550 to a 3570k, so a similar update, what i experienced was an increase in the minimum frame rate and a reduction in stuttering caused by a CPU bottleneck, you'll see some of the same with the 6770, but you'll see a much bigger benefit when it is coupled with the 380.

however you do know that the 2500 is an older processor?
