So you've tried two power cords and none of them works? Then I guess we can assume that the cord isn't the issue here.
This means that:
- There is something wrong with the enclosure.
- There is something wrong with the HDD itself.
Unfortunately, in both cases, you will not be able to access the drive with software tools.
Do you have some really important data stored on the drive? In case you do, my suggestion would be to contact a data recovery company.
Is the drive under warranty? In case it is, I guess you can just RMA it. You will not get the data stored on it though.
In similar cases, some users try to take the drive out of the enclosure and attach it internally. Keep in mind that this will void the warranty and may not work in case the drive inside has some sort of proprietary connectors. Also, there will be no point in that in case the HDD itself has failed.
