I have lost my flash drive with my family photos & i am too much worried about that. Please suggest me what to do, how may i recover that photos from the flash drive that is lost..

Solution

What you are asking to do is exactly like any random person writing something down on a piece of paper, throwing it away then asking you if you can tell them what was written on the paper.

Lesson here is do not keep single copies of files on a flash drive. Portable drives are OK to use for moving files around, or for backups, not...

Thanks @COLGeek.. I dont have backup of that files. I copied that files from my pc & after transfer i removed it from my pc. Is there any way to see name of the files & folders inside flash drive?

did you delete them permanently or are they in the Recycle Bin? If they were deleted very recently, then you may be able to recover them with an undelete application (Google "file undelete"). Before deleting them from disk, did you copy them to 2 external devices just in case one is lost or damaged?

Thanks @GshislainG.. Actually i deleted them permanently but before that i copied them to flash drive which i lost. I am too much scared as it contains my family photographs. After every family event i create a folder of that event & put all related photographs in it. I have transferred some of the folders in flash drive. I just want to know the names of that folders. Any help would be appreciated..

Unless your computer is psychic, it's impossible (and no sentient psychic computers anywhere in the world right now).

What you need to do is search for the drive in your home, car, other places you might have lost it in.

Wherether or not you find the drive, it's time to rethink how you store important documents. The best method is to have multiple backups, one in the computer, one on removable media, and then an archive copy on DVDs or another HDD that you lock away in a safe somewhere. You should also consider online storage, something like Smugmug is dirt cheap and backed up several times to make sure that data never disappears.
