2 Wireless routers?

I have 1 wireless router with all of my family's phones, computers, smart tv and my xbox/PlayStation on it. Can I set up another wireless router and do my online gaming on it? Or will that even help my connection?

Yes, you can set up another router as an access point. It may or may not improve online gaming depending on the specifics of the situation.

The only way for sure to improve gaming is a wired connection. Ethernet is the fastest and most stable. It is the easiest to do for computers in the same room as the router. Powerline networking is not always workable but worth a try because of the easy installation to bring the network to another part of the house.
