Can I recover my secondary hard drive data?

My current pc s died and so I will be replacing the main hard drive with the os on it.
If I do this and reinstall windows when I put my two additional hard drives in that were there before can I plug them in with sata and still keep all the data on them?
They are used for video so I'm very screwed if i can't.

The data on the secondary drives is safe. They should not have been affected by the main drive.

If it's just regular things (photos, videos, and the like) then it's just plug in and go. If it's installed programs (e.g. Word, Photoshop, whatever) they'll need to be reinstalled.

Hi there madman1128,

In case the drives are working just fine, you should have no issues with accessing them right away.
If you can't see them under My Computer though, you need to go to Disk Management and see how the drives appear over there. You may need to use some data recovery software: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html
