Will a Dell PSU work in a HP Pavilion?

I have a HP Pavilion a6600f with a 250 watt power supply that has begun to give me issues recently, I've been looking to replace it. I found that I had a spare 305 watt psu from a Dell Optiplex 780. I want to know if this Dell power supply will work in the HP computer? Here are the pictures of both power supplies. HP PSU: http://imgur.com/DcSmkML and Dell PSU: http://imgur.com/jml9vUq . I also found that the motherboard on the HP has a 24 pin connector, but the original hp power supply only has a 20 pin connector connected to the board? Is that meant to be like that?

Note: I forgot to add the specs of the HP Pavilion, It has a 250GB Hard drive, Core2Duo E8400 CPU, 3GB DDR2 (6400) Ram, and an R7 240 graphics card.

My first look at your pictures coming from a student in electronics is a  I can see on the pictures that your Bestec (HP power supply) A amperage is a bit Higher than on your dell Power supply First example: you can read 5V alternative current 25A (amperes) on the dell you can read 5V 16A aswell the biggest problem I guess you wont be able to mount the Dell PSU I couldnt read anywhere that the Dell a standard ATX compatible is. :/ but at least a 450 watt power supply is really really cheap

Would this be a worthy replacement? I seem to always see it in advertisement in many websites. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H33SFJU/?tag=xov-20

I just measured with a ruler and compared it with the measurements given from the amazon website. They are nearly identical, looks like I will be grabbing the 430 watt though because the 500 is a bit overkill in my opinion. Considering the computer has a 30w TDP graphics card with a 65w CPU, it shouldn't need much power. Even more if the 250watt supply was powering the components for so long. Thank you for the help :)
