How much more performance will I get?

I currently have an amd a8 6600k for my cpu, and a gtx 970 for my gpu, i know the cpu is bottlenecking my gpu, and right now I plan to get an i5 4790k or 6600k skylake. I was wondering if getting either of those would improve my performance greatly, or if I should just make do with my current cpu, and save up more money for an i7 maybe? Also, is the i5 4790k and/or 6600k compatible with my motherboard? (asus a58M-E)

Solution
According to http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/450/AMD_A8-Series_A8-6600K_vs_Intel_Core_i7_i7-4790K.html, an i7-4790K is 1.8 times faster than the A8 6600K.

ah damn, good thing i asked about the mobo too, or else i'd have a useless processor with me. LOL will i get more performace by getting an i5 though? because i keep checking cpu boss and i keep comparing my a8 6600k and i5 4790k, 6600k, etc. in cpu boss, it says they're pretty much the same, just a small lead from i5. not sure how accurate this is though
