ddr2 to ddr3 [Mother board]

Hi i'm new here im not so techy and here's my question :

i have an old motherboard its an intel chipset. it was used almost for 7-8years and it was broke last month. i have decide to upgrade my mobo/replace it. i have found some motherboard that compatible with my cpu but it says support ddr3 (asus).

Do really ddr3 motherboard can go with my cpu?

Yes, there are boards that are compatible. But no, you should NOT buy one. That system is already dead and will have problems. Replace the entire thing. Mobo+ i3 43XX +8gb DDR3 ram won't cost you more than $250 if you know what to look for.
