Hello Everyone!

My problem in which I would like to ask your kind suggestions is the following.

I have put together a new desktop build with the following components:

AsRock H170 Pro4S
i5-6400
8GB Kingston RAM (2x!gb in kit)
HyperX 120GB SSD
Zalman Z3Plus white case
Samsung S22E391HS monitor

The problem is that when I connect the monitor and the integrated vga (HD 530) with HDMI there is flickering and black screen problems on the monitor. The problem is present not only in Windows (Win10 Home 64bit) but also in the UEFI. I thought that maybe the motherboard was fauly so I connected it to a Samsung led TV with the same cable but there was no flicker, nor black screens. Then I thought that it was the monitor but no matter what I connected to it (2 laptops, one Win7, one with Openelec, a PS4 and a PS4) I could not reproduce the problem. So it seems they have a problem with each other.

The flickering and black screens occur randomly. I have tried also to modify RAM and CPU settings in the UEFI but nothing has helped. I have also tried a DVI to HDMI adapter but the problem is the same. The monitor only has a HDMI and a DSUB connector, the motherboard has a DVI and HDMI.

Right now I do not even know what is defective, the mobo, the monitor, the cpu, or maybe the RAMs.

Thank you very much for any kind of advice or suggestion!

Thanks to the warranty rules in my country I got it replaced quickly and the new board is okay now. It seems the problem was the VGA part of the board. I still don't get though why was it okay with a TV hooked up to it.
