Hi everyone,

I have the Yamaha RX-V379 audio receiver. I have an HDMI cable going from my PC to the Yamaha, then another HDMI cable going from the Yamaha to my LCD TV. When I power off the Yamaha, the video and audio does not pass through the HDMI cable to the TV. Is there a way to configure the Yamaha to allow the HDMI signals to pass to the TV even when the Yamaha is off?

Solution

Yeah that just means is passes through all Video signals out to HDMI. If you go through the details list on the link I sent it mentions HDMI Standby Pass-Through which is the feature you are looking for that it doesn't have

Thanks! It does advertise video pass-through, and I mistook that to mean it would pass video (and presumably audio at the same time) to the TV when the receiver was off. I'll have to be more careful next time I compare features.
