Best computer build for video editing as of 2016

Hey guys am new here on this forum. Just wanted to know what would be the best computer rig for video editing. 4k vids. Processor, ram, video card, mobo, psu, and cooling system. Budget is $1400. My current rig which i built back in 2010 is an amd II X6 1090t. Evga gtx 660. 8gb ddr3 ram g.skill. Mobo is an Asus M4A79T deluxe. Psu is a bfg 1000w.

Alright, I would say keep the RAM, but given your layout, we'll have to exchange it. This build should be fine for video editing, and I would recommend using the spare money to buy an m.2 SSD for better transfer speeds. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8fj4yc Here is the build with maxed out hardware for your budget, with a 980 for CUDA Development, along with a six core for better rendering/editing capabilities. You can reuse that cooler, although I sleep better at night knowing I don't have a risk of fluid leaking in my system, which is why I put in that Noctua Heatsink. The PSU that you're currently using is less efficient, and probably will go out pretty quickly after handling an increased load from an X99 system (given your previous system was with an athlon), so I'd recommend upgrading to something like a new EVGA unit for better efficiency and handling.
