I have 8GB of 1866Mhz DDR3 memory, the rest of my system specs are in my signature below. Recently, I have noticed my PC occasionally hangs and stutters for a split second, in which audio will quickly stutter and video will freeze. This never used to happen, and I have not made any significant changes or installations that I believe would lead to increased memory usage of this amount. So I am wondering what is leading to this, could it be a memory leak? I am suspicious of this because when I add up the reported memory consumption per process, it does not add up to how much memory is being used. I don't know if this makes it correct to assume a memory leak is occurring, but nevertheless, it is one possibility I am concerned about.
Any ideas as to what is causing this?
