Building my first pc - Is this build good?

Hello folks! I'm finally putting the last pieces toguether about buying my PC's parts. I wanted, however, more opinions about whether or not this build looks good. I kind of need a quick reply about the RAM, CPU, GPU and Mobo because I found them in a limited time offer which will expire in less than 3 hours...

CPU: AMD FX-8320E

Mobo: MSI 970 Gaming

GPU: Powercolor PCS+ R9 380 4GB

RAM: HyperX 8GB (single)

HD: Seagate Barracura 7200 1TB

PSU: EVGA 600B (The only part I already own)

I'm not yet sure about the case. Probably will stick with CoolerMaster K380 and put at least 3 CoolerMaster Sickleflow fans.

The problem with trading pieces right now is that it took me quite a while to find good prices on these parts, and the entire build already went about 25% more expensive than I intended (PC parts in my country are quite expensive).

So what do you guys think? Does it look good? My priority is gaming, and possibly editing videos later on, but not a real botter right now.

If that is the best you can afford, then it is ok. I know some countries, Intel is just out of reach. For just gaming, even an i3 is better than an FX 8320e. The FX would be superior in video editing though. An i5 would be a better all around chip, but the FX could still possibly win out, on video editing, depending on program. GPU is good. Ram should be in a 2x4gb configuration.

@logain Would it be a considerable option to run with an athlon x4 860k instead? I've heard that they have better single core performance than the 6+ core FX Series.

I really wouldn't recommend those either, unless absolutely necessary. Fall Out 4 is one of the most demanding titles, right now, so this will give some idea of gaming performance comparison.

For gaming, always i5 or i7.

Not always. For the budget crowd, and i3 still gets the job done, as shown in the benchmark I posted above.

Well, if I were to change to intel, the best one I could afford would be i3-6100, accompanied with an Asus H170 Plus D3 Mobo. Would that be considerably better than my previous parts?

50% better i would say, but yes, will be a good upgrade.

Ok, thanks! Bought the GPU and RAM (went with single stick because I got a great price on it) and gave up on the CPU and Mobo. I just want to be sure if that Asus H170 Plus D3 Mobo is all I need... didn't do much research on Intel mobos.

Keep in mind that the D3 board uses DDR3 ram, not DDR4, like most skylake boards.

Oh, right! Forgot to mention I'm going for DDR3 1866MHz RAM. So overall the build is good (and better) with i3-6100 and Asus H170 Plus D3, right?
