I'm in mobile so excuse the poor format.

I have AT&T DSL

I live on the east coast and I was in that horrible ice storm. Our internet went down as well as power. Now after a few days the internet came back up but now I am able to only connect to certain things. A good example of this would be I am able to connect to one team speak server, but not another one, also I can connect to the login servers to League of Legends, but I can't connect to chat services.

I have tried calling tech support, nothing they said helped, I tried hooking the phone line directly to the box to my modem and nothing changed, I've tried different DNS servers and nothing changed.

It's possible some Internet Gateways are down or damaged... or points between your ISP and the sites you're trying to connect too.. If that's the case, there isn't anything your ISP can do. If they tell you things are working from their end... and if things are working from your end... then that means the trouble could be some of the lines leaving your ISP. All you can do is wait.. remember, there was heavy damage during the storm out there.

The thing is I have a separate modem that I have connected and a different situation occurs. When I connect the other modem I can connect to the other TeamSpeak server that I couldn't connect to before BUT I am not able to connect to the other one that I was able to to begin with.

In other words:

Modem 1 + TeamSpeak server 1 = No Connection
Modem 1 + TeamSpeak server 2 = Connection
Modem 2 + TeamSpeak server 1 = Connection
Modem 2 + TeamSpeak server 2 = No Connection

Would this also be because of the gateways possibly being down.

Where are the two modems located? Work and Home?

Things you could try:

make sure you didn't misspell the address and that you do not have any typos in the address.

Ping the address

Ask a few friends to try and connect to the server from their end (these friends should preferably have different ISPs to rule out ISP failure), if it doesn't work for them either it's increasingly likely it's a server problem after all and in that case nobody but the server owner can do anything about it.

Try to connect using a mobile client using the mobile network (not Wireless LAN), it it doesn't work again it's more likely a server problem (at least if your mobile connection is stable and better than edge).

The modems are both at my house, one is just older and we needed a new one to keep up with the times.

I have checked and rechecked the addresses, they are correct.

When I ping the addresses they never connect resulting in 100% packet loss.

I have friends that use the TS server daily, they are on Time Warner (where I have AT&T)

I haven't tried to use a mobile device, yet.
