Hey my friends,
few days ago I build a new mini ITX computer with an i7 6700k in a mini ITX Tower; Cooler Noctua NH-L9i.
My mainboard is the ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming
Obviously I was benchmarking to check if everything was fine...
My CPU idle temperature is around 30-40, I guess thats totally okay.
But the second I try a stresstest with AIDA64, Prime95 etc, the temperature jumps instantly from 30ish to 60-70 and then keeps rising to 90+°C.
When I turn off the benchmark it instantly falls to 50-60°C again and then slowly gets back to 40-30.
When I'm gaming the CPU temperature is around 60-80.
How can these extreme temperature jumps be explained?
I reapplied the cooling paste and mounted to cooler twice to make sure I did no mistakes.
Would be nice if anyone has any Ideas.
