Hello, at least the BIOS detected it, hence the error message. But the problem can be many things:
1) Test/check your memory, is it correctly seated?
2) Check your cables, re-plug them if necessary
3) Test the HDD in another system
4) Go into the BIOS setup and look for "safe mode" or "fail safe" boot options
5) Boot with your Win7 CD/USB stick and repair the installation
If you ever go back in your PC, make sure to backup your data as your drive is probably starting to fail. Running CHKDSK will also identify the bad sectors.
If your drive doesn't boot anymore, you might be able to access its data as connecting it as a secondary drive (ie: drive D
. Then you could backup your data.
As you have just upgraded, maybe you don't have important info on the drive. Maybe it would be simpler just to buy a new drive!
Best of luck!
