This is a new build with new PSU, ram, mb, video card & cpu.

I put the build together last week and if boooted fine though I did start noticing some issues like intermittent blue screens in Windows 10. I reformatted and reinstalled a few times but the blue screens started coming up more often. I updated the BIOS thinking that might help.

Then the pc stopped booting with the error code on the mb 4F and a series of solid beeps. Checked the manual and all it says for the error code is "reserved". I removed all internal cards and tried booting with one memory stick. Still same issue.

I figured that the mb is to blame so I RMA'd and received a new one (same model) as well as a new 1k watt PSU.

I put the whole system together and tried booting with no other pci slots filled and just using on board video and sound. Again the same beeps and the error message.

These are the specs:

Intel Core i7 6700k Skylake CPU
Gigabyte G1 Gaming 7 motherboard
Evga 980gtx ti
G.skill tridentz 2x8gb ddr3400
Older thermaltake cpu cooler (3 pin power from mb)

I'm ordering new ram today hoping that's the issue.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for the quick response.

Interesting... from what I've read, that would be pretty rare, though I suppose not out of the question.

It also makes sense since I can't boot with either RAM stick.

I'll pick up a new CPU today and will report back.

Oh and also let me add that I actually tested the memory when I had the first MB and it passed fine through multiple passes (let it run throughout the day). So your suggestion of a bad CPU is starting to make more and more sense.

Did you RMA the CPU? Did it fix the issues? I'm experiencing similar problems...
