Hi All,
I'm trying to run sfc /scannow off a Windows 8.1 bootable USB drive. I enter the following command in the CMD prompt:
sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows
I use "c:" because checking the partitions, that's the drive letter assigned to the partion with the OS I want to repair.
I get the message "Beginning system scan. This process will take some time."
And it just sits there. It never says "beginning verification" or whatever the next step is.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
